Trafford Council installed a series of temporary pop-up cycle lanes during the Covid lockdown in 2020.

The lanes, on the A56 Chester Road, Bridgewater Way and Edge Lane, were installed to encourage social distancing, cycling and walking. 

The Council has launched a six-week consultation to give residents the opportunity to give their thoughts, views and ideas.

The consultation focuses on three main options - to replace the lanes with a shared bus/cycle lane, to have cycle lanes only or to remove the cycle lanes entirely.
